Thanks, but I really don't feel at all inconvenienced by hitting escape and 
then arrowing wherever I feel like going in my inbox list of messages.  I'm 
sure these things are really zippy, but I'm fine as I am.  Thanks again.

You can skip on to the next message with ALT-Right Arrow and back to the
previous one with ALT-Left arrow. Yes and I know there is also the menu
items in the Edit menu. Just in case you thought you had to close the
message before going on to the next one.
