Hello Chris,
Thanks for the help, I get the idea. I thought that some speech engines already will be there. Like Microsoft for example. So I have to install it again right? thanks

Hello.

It sounds like you forgot to install the speech synthesizer that you wanted
to use. To install additional speech synthesizers, besides eloquence is a
two-step process. It does not matter, which order you do them in. It would
be helpful to know which speech synthesizers you're planning on using. But
essentially, you install the speech synthesizer interface with in Jaws for
windows, and then you install the speech synthesizer that you are trying to
use by the manufacturer's instructions. This is assuming that it is a
software speech synthesizer. If on the other hand, it is a hardware speech
synthesizer, make sure that you told Joss for windows. The correct comport
that you have your hardware speech synthesizer plugged into. Otherwise jaws
for windows is looking for your speech synthesizer on the wrong comport.
Also make sure the comport that you're trying to use is not being used by
something like an internal modem.

I hope this helps.

Chris.

Hello After I did format my PC, Eloquence is the only synthesizer working.
When I change to other synthesizers all I hear is silence there is no speech

at all. Is there something that I'm missing? What can I do to get it back to

normal. Thanks.
