Mr. Marquette,
I have heard of J-say, but not used it. I have used Jawbone and have not had
the best luck. Can you tell more about how J-say interfaces with Jaws and
maybe compare it to Jawbone? For instance, does J-say repeat dictation
through Jaws?

Thanks for any help,
Carl

I used J-SAY, a relatively inexpensive third-party package with Dragon
Naturally Speaking. Without the need for sighted assistance, I set-up
and trained Dragon. I use it fairly effectively now.
I am using JAWS 4.51.
I am waiting for FS to come out with 5.1 and, it is hoped, fix the bugs
in 5.0.

Subject: Dragon & Jaws

Bill,

On my IBM desk top computer I run Dragon and Jaws.

When I initially was setting it up I bought a third software application

titled, "Jaws Bones."

However, after allot of trying to get the nightmare running, I removed
the
Jaw Bones and had a sighted person work with me using intercom
headphones
and such and after many many many hours of hard work, got Dragon and
Jaws
working together.

The third program Jaw Bones is a costly program and likely a good one,
but
I like things to work well and fast; So I did not want to put the time
into
that third software application.

If you are going to run Dragon, let me suggest you use Dragon Pro with
Jaws
4.5.

I put Jaws 5 on that machine and had to un install it.

Lastly, let me say if you want the setup of Dragon to go well, confess
to
yourself that blind people from time to time need help of sighted
people.

Your life will be allot less stressful if you simply have eyes to help
and
a set of two way headphone intercoms.

Regards,
L.D. Yooman
