Hi group:

When using either windows me or windows 98, if you push windows key +U with
winkey you'd be brought to dialup settings. But of course with xp you get
narrator when tapping windows key U; it took time for me to get accustomed to
this.

Hi,

No, no big deal installing it. I have included instructions below for
creating hot keys and what to avoid.

The following is a list of standard windows key shorcuts That you shouldn't
use when creating a new shortcut. Any of the other shortcuts that you see
when you open WinKey can be removed and the key combination used for another

file or folder.

Standard Windows key shortcuts are:

Windows Key + D: Show Desktop

Windows Key + E: Windows Explorer

Windows Key + F: Find Files or Folders...

Windows Key + M: Minimize All Windows

Windows Key + Shift+M: Undo Minimize All

Windows Key + R: Run...

Windows Key + Tab: Select Task

Windows Key + Break: System Properties

Windows Key + F1: Windows Help

To remove any of the other shortcuts already included in WinKey simply
highlight it, tab to the remove button and press the space bar. You will be
asked to confirm the removal.

Creating a new WinKey hot key:

1. After opening WinKey tab to and press space on the add button. You will
hear shortcut properties.

2. Tab once and you will hear shortcut. Enter the combination you want by
pressing the windows key + one other key.

Example: windows key + f2

3. Tab once again and you will hear parameters. You don't need to enter
anything here if you simply use these find commands:

alt F, browse for files

alt D, browse for folders

4. After using alt F you will hear file name. Tab once and you will hear
files of type. If you are browsing for a file curser down to "all files".
After using alt D to browse for a folder you will be placed in a tree view
of your folders and can skip step 5.

5. Now tab until you get to the look in combo box and locate either the file

or folder you're making the shortcut for.

6. Once the file or folder is located tab to the open button and hit the
space bar. From here you can tab through these items, make any changes you
want, and then hit space on the OK button. You're new windows key hot key
should be created.

To view the properties of any combination simply highlight it, tab to and
hit space on the properties button.

Hello all, is there anyone who uses the winkey program with jaws?
Did it download ok and was it any big deal to set it up or does this
happen on its own.
I need another way of setting up macros and this sounds great but need to
know just a bit more.
Thanks and will wait for your feed back!
