Hi,
I haven't kept track of this thread because I couldn't figure out what the
problem was. When I'm at a Web page and want to search for a word or a
character string I expect to be there, I simply use Control F, and it
announces "jaws Find," and I type the search string in, hit Enter, and
either find the string or don't. And the only time I don't find what I know
is there (usually, I'm just trying to get to a certain place on the page; it
isn't really research of any kind), it's because (on some web pages, such as
the Los Angeles times), temporary, floating Flash animation panels
containing advertising are getting in the way of Jaws finding the object of
my search, and usually either reloading the page or using the page down
command to get past the obstructions works as an end run.
that said, What's the basic concern of this discussion about Jaws Find
command? Doesn't it work for others as it does for me? Why would I need to
use key commands with multiple keystrokes such as what Judith describes? I
don't remember eleven hearing about that in any Jaws tutorial.
