Disabling a screen

Hey all,

I'm wondering whether a Windows utility exists to turn off
a laptop's display and still have the machine operate. IE
because jaws doesn't need the screen to be on and that
would save a lot of battery. I know under Linux there are
utilities to do it with a Vesa bios call but I can't find
anything for Windows. My netbook systray panel does have an
option to dim the display which does much for battery life
but why not disable it altogether.

Best,
Shane
