Jim, I had McAfee firewall installed for awhile, but I don't right now, so I 
may be remembering wrong.  But can't you just go to the system tray icon 
context menu and go into the personal firewall and find disable on the menu?

Hi Listers, I recently tried to download Jaws 7.1  but McAfee stopped on 
the install stage, and locked up the computer. the only thing I can think of 
is  Disabling the  McAfee firewall  while downloading. Can any of you tell 
me how to temporarily 
Disable The  firewall?I am using         Jaws7.0 with WinXP home and
