Hi Margaret: Yes the delete key did (on the key pad) delete open messages prior to 6.0, in OE. Now that is the time I installed XP and all of its updates (much to my regrets), I don't think that would have anything to do with it. HTH, George R. XP Home with SP2 bongs at me when I try to use the delete key in the same situation and I have to use Control-D. I thought I remembered reading something about other people having a similar problem, but I can't find any of the posts I thought I'd saved. I think I remember hearing when I started using JFW 3.3x that Control-D was supposed to be the "official" Windows keystroke for deleting a message when it was open and that HJ came up with the script for using the delete key instead. I don't know if this might be an SP2 thing or what. Am I the only one who's experiencing it or other people being bonged at too? It's not a big issue, but one more thing I have to do differently with XP and another issue I have with JAWS and OE.
