Using XP Home with SP2 and Jaws 6.0. I can't speak for Outlook Express,
but in Outlook I can only delete an open message with Control D. I do
believe that is an Outlook hot key and not Jaws. Anyway, I'm referring
to regular ol' Outlook, so I guess I'm not much help, eh? Smile.

Subject: Deleting in Open Message OE/JFW 6/XP

Hi All,

On my Windows 98 se machine I'd gotten in the habit of using the
delete key to delete an open message in Outlook Express with JAWS 6.0
and previous versions of JFW. XP Home with SP2 bongs at me when I try
to use the delete key in the same situation and I have to use
Control-D. I thought I remembered reading something about other
people having a similar problem, but I can't find any of the posts I
thought I'd saved.

I think I remember hearing when I started using JFW 3.3x that
Control-D was supposed to be the "official" Windows keystroke for
deleting a message when it was open and that HJ came up with the
script for using the delete key instead.

I don't know if this might be an SP2 thing or what. Am I the only
one who's experiencing it or other people being bonged at too?

It's not a big issue, but one more thing I have to do differently
with XP and another issue I have with JAWS and OE.

    Thanks,
Margaret
