two ways to get to a command prompt in xp:
go to run and type command
open accessories and find its shortcut there.

How do you get to a DOS window using Windows-XP home?  If Jaws 6.0 will
read the window good enough there are some DOS games that I have that I've
love to play that I haven't been able to play since my Windows-98 SE 
machine.
