Correction sought for reading problems with Word 2 k

Hi,
Until recently, I had had relative good luck using JAWS 5.0884 and even
much better luck using 4.51 with Word 2 K.
But now when I down arrow lines can be skipped and are read using "say
all".
Up arrowing can skip alternating lines.
When trying to read the missing line, highlighting it can work most of the
time.
Is there some setting orm eans to get the reading improved?
