USB in both cases. We have the latest driver. I already contacted Handy
Tech for that. I realize I may have to accept that it just won't work, but
I wanted to make sure I had checked all my options first.

Well then the only thing I can suggest is to contact your refreshable
braille display maker and ask them if they have a jaws 12 driver that works
with the "braillein" feature. Until I receive my refreshable braille display
next week, I can't help you much.

One thing, are those braille displays using serial port or USB or bluetooth
connection?

Do you have jaws 12 installed? Stupid question, but better to make sure.
This feature only works with jaws 12 and above. If you wait for a couple of
days, I will be able to tell you more since finally my refreshabraille
braille display is on the way.

Subject: Contracted Braille input from a Braille display

Hi All,

I have a Handy Tech Braille Star 40, and I have a current student who has an
Easy Braille. We have been told by Freedom Scientific that the contracted
Braille input should work if we have the latest driver installed. We have
done this, and changed the translation options in JAWS, but it still doesn't
work. Has anyone successfully done this? If so, how? Thanks.
