Hello,

Just a little more on organizing your desktop icons. While clicking on the blank area of the desktop works it is not always possible nor easy to find an open area. So when you have a desktop icon highlighted,
1. hit control plus spacebar then
2. shift f ten and
3. i for arange icons by and then
4. n for name.

Hi Dennis,

First, go to:
start, settings, control panel, display and press enter on it.
Shift+tab once and you are on general. arrow once right, and you're on desktop tab.
tab sometimes and get, "customize desktop" or something like that. enter on it.
Now, you must get first, my documents <x> that means checked.
tab once and you should choose my computer 1 of 5 then, tab to ok and again, tab to ok to close that window.
Try it first and tell me what happens.
I can give you more help if you need.

Subject: Configuring my Windows XP desktop

Good evening one and all:

Factual tidbits..running JAWS Version 6 on a Windows XP Home edition computer...I am a bit perplexed as to how to reconfigure my Desktop setting so that for example when I boot up said computer and minimize the desktop, the first item that I will happen upon, and if I subsequently place the focus on, will be "My Documents" folder and directly under that icon will be "My Computer" and so on.
As it stands now there is no rhyme or reason for the order of my "Desktop" icon configuration.
Hence, is there a heading under my "Task Bar and Start Menu" setting, for example, that I would find a place to configure my desktop. And if not, where should I go rooting around to find what I am looking, err hearing, for?

Thanks a bunch,
Dennis
