From what I remember all the links to playlists and Store are on the left, the
pane where everything shows up is on the right. You have to click into this
window for it to allow you to move about. It is possible to route jaws to pc
when you are on the iStore link then mouse right and left click. This puts you
in the window to mess around.

To make it clearer. Now the iTunes store only says "iTunes store". My sighted
sistersays that when I route the jaws cursor to the virtual pc cursor, I am in
the top portion of the iTunes store. But when I navigate somewhere, the mouse
moves out of the windows and lands on the "new playlist" button on the buttom
of the page.

I feel the biggest challenge is working with the iTunes store portion. If it
really has trouble recognizing areas of navigation, then I am in for it. I
would have to program even the most basic of keys. Down arrow would become a
nightmare. Not that it's not possible, I will just have to take a crash course
in this section.

    NBrandon:

The way you navigated the iTunes store previously (I still don't know if it
was jaws 12 or iTunes who broke it) was just like a webpage. You have headings
saying for example "artist name" then you got a level 2 heading saying "albums
of artist" and from there on all the itmes where the albums. You could enter
them and check and listen to the individual tracks and hit the "buy button'".
But since the iTunes store was broken I have been looking for other options.
This is why I mentioned the jTunes scripts. They only make a few things in
iTunes accessible and for 75 dollars they are not worth it. If I could navigate
the iTunes store, maybe. But they are just not worth 75 dollars.

I'm not sure if it could be possible to make the layout kind of like
Windows Media player where you tab with 1 tab to the different options and use
the arrow keys as lower level navigational keys?
Now I get lost on ITunes when I use tab and f6 is confusing as well. Also
removing any extra cymbals buttons or words would be nice...
Also it would be really awesome to move down the ITunes store with the up
and down arrow keys, so I go to songs and hit the down arrow and it sais the
name of the song and the artist and the album, then I right arrow and it sais
play and I right arrow again and it sais buy.
Or even just hitting inter on the name of the song hitting the play and one
press of the right arrow is buy, although a message will need to be put up at
the first song saying that's how to play the demo...
Also proper control of sliders and clear ability to read the information
coming from the radio would be really nice.
    Thank you,

Yes, I know about the multi select issue. Didn't know about the iTunes
store part. Wow, that is a steep price for jTunes. iTunes won't be too
difficult actually.

Well, look at the jTunes and build from there. Just kidding. Even though
the jTunes cost 75 dollars, they don't bring to much to the party. Well,
suggestions on what I want on iTunes. Well, access to the help file. Second,
since jaws 12 or iTunes 10.2.1 (don't know which one) broke the iTunes store,
the iTunes store would be very nice. A way to imput data or create an account
without turning the virtual cursor off. A way to get all the easily accessible
information for sighted people (track name, time, number of tracks, etc.) in an
easy matter. Jaws iimput when selecting tracks via the control plus spacebar
method. Those are just of a few suggestions. I am going to left this open for
people's imput.

ITunes is a good one. I know that some of it can't be accessed easily
without the jaws cursor. Definately an easier app to work with since they are
Microsoft accessibility access friendly. Plus I noticed that they leave the JSS
file open to scripters. Just in case we wanted to add to it. Give your thoughts
on what we want iTunes to do. I definately use iTunes myself and it is a
popular app. As far as the need, we still have to hear more input from
everyone. Good suggestion.

Hmmm... I would like to see scripts (free scripts if possible) for
iTunes. I downloaded the jTunes scripts (version 5.5) and I did not like them
at all. They did not added much to the party and there are some parts of iTunes
that since version 10.2.1 have become completely inaccessible. E.G. the iTunes
store.

Other program I would love to see a script being developed is for DVD
fab platnum.

I am thinking of a couple, but I doubt there will be any interest among
blind persons, so I won't mention them. At least for now.

        Hi folks,
As my 32nd birthday approaches, I think I am going to make a habit of
picking one new application per year to make jaws accessible. Picking Rhapsody
was not an easy task, but it taught me many things about an application that
seems next to impossible to make behave. I am taking off this summer from
school and will have the time to code a new application. Rhapsody Blind was a
test to see if I could pull it off, and it worked. I selfishly chose the first
one, now I'm looking for the popular vote on what you might want. I probably
won't start until this semester is over at the end of May, so this gives plenty
of time to decide. It would be a good idea to chat among each other and find
out what is needed or just plain want for entertainment purposes. So, let's
open up the floor and hear some suggestions.
        Thanks,
        John Martyn
