It is my understanding that Jaws 5.1 will not work with citrix you will = have to wait for Jfw 6.0. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On = Behalf Of Mike Williams Sent: Sunday, August 08, 2004 5:42 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Citrix I know that JAWS 5.1 is expected to support Citrix. Maybe even soon. But = I tried 5.0 yesterday with NFuse, a Citrix ICA Win32 client (wfica32.exe version 6.301.050.0) and it seemed to almost work. From Internet Explorer I logged on to to an NFuse Application Portal and from there ran a client application that allows searching for account numbers. JAWS wouldn't speak the prompts but frames allowed them to be spoken. But once the server database returned results JAWS couldn't = speak the field contents. I thought the problem with Citrix was that it sent graphics rather than text. But Windows seems to think there's text = there. You can arrow right character by character. You can select all the field contents and paste them to Notepad where the text is readable. I can't imagine you could do that with graphics. Any way to make this work? When 5.1 is out will it require JAWS on the server as Window-Eyes and HAL seem to?
