Hi Cindy,
Probably the best way to fix this is to go into configuration manager with 
insert+6.  Do a ctrl+shift+d to get into the default configuration. Then open 
up the Set Options menu and go into Text Processing.  You should find 
everything you need in there.  

If you want to play with the settings on the fly, just go into JAWS options 
with insert+v, and you'll find a branch at the bottom of the tree view called 
Numbers Options.
