Well Wendi. I'm afraid I've never used whatever option you were trying to use in the Configuration Manager, because I don't take such a complicated approach to punctuation verbosity. But the adjustment you're describing in the Jaws screen is the first place to go to adjust this. Not the configuration Manager, which is for more sophisticated and minute adjustments, for someone who wishes to get complicated about it. I'm sure you know that the Jaws screen is the actual interface of the Jaws program, in the same sense that your Outlook Express screen or Word screen are interfaces for those programs, and this is the basic place to be setting something like that, as I learned first thing when I began to use Jaws and followed the instructions of the tutorial that came on audiocassette at the time. Sorry you've lost your favorite method, of course, and I recommend that you contact Freedom Scientific and complain that it's broken. ----- Original Message ----- From: Wendy Alling To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, December 02, 2006 5:14 AM Subject: Re: Changing punctuation settings Hi, That is what I ended up doing and it finally worked. The other screen just would not stay no matter what changes I made. I wonder why it does not work in later versions. Guess that is one of good old FS's glitches that seem to happen more and more as each release gets out.At 05:29 PM 12/01/2006, you wrote: >Hi, >I have found that that screen does not work with the later versions of >JAWS.
