It should still install but only run in demo mode if the right
authorization is lacking.

Doris
Hi, if you are using xp pro, you cannot authorize jaws standard with pro. You need jaws pro in order to use xp pro. So jaws standard will not authorize on an xp pro system.

How would I know whether I'm logged in as administrator? I've installed another program without any problem. Doesn't that mean I'm logged-in as administrator? I'm the only user. Went to User Accounts in Control Panel ... no user listed other than the one administrator. Just as a note: the previous Win XP version on this laptop was Home Edition ... not Pro. Would that make any difference. It shouldn't. I did a full reformat of the drive. It didn't uninstall Home though. It now shows both Win XP Pro and Home as existing operating systems. Pro is the default though. Home edition was corrupt ... that's why I reinstalled ... but with Pro this time.
