Can't get online

Hi!
I'm having a great amount of difficulty getting online from the main computer I
use. I get an error message which reads:
Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an
add-on and needs to close.
The following add-on was running when this problem occured:

I really don't know anything about how computers operate, but I'm assuming that
if I remove this file things will be okay. My question is this: If I remove
the file will it have a negative impact on speech? Thanks in advance for any
help anyone can give.
