G'day All,

Further to previous posts regarding the failure of Jaws 5.0844 to read combo
boxes when running on Windows 98sE systems, I e-mailed Freedom Scientific
and received the following response. I trust the e-mails below will be self
explanatory.

Cheers, Steve

Dear Steve

Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific technical Support. You will
need to avoid making this modification in word. This is where it will cause
you problems. Therefore, reframe from using this change in winword or
other word jcf files. If I can be of any additional assistance to you, feel
free to email me back.

Hello,

I have also found that the combo box problem occurs in the Font dialogue box
of Outlook Express 6 with Windows 98Se.

I edited the Outlook Express 5-6.jcf file in the manner you suggest for
Internet Explorer and now the colours combo box reads correctly.

I trust this solution will not adversely effect my copy of Jaws.

Cheers,

Steve Heidemann
