I have had this happen to me. JAWS speaks 'no links' at the opening, and it
takes some time for the site to open.
If you hit Ins-NumPad 3, you may hear that the page is still opening. You just need to wait.
However, there are times that hitting the status combination will yield a "Done", but you still can't get the site to speak. I've tried the JAWS key in these instances, and the text is there, but I can't get the pc/virtual cursors to talk. In this case, I just hit alt-F4 and try again.
The site has been very busy lately, as the usage has grown tremendously, and the site is still debugging itself.
Hi, does anyone understand why I wouldn't be able to get a website up? I tried to get into audible . com and it says that there are zero links. I contacted henter-Joyce and they got in with no problem. I have no problems with most other sites and just a few. I don't think it is jaws related but, could be internet explorer. I deleted my temp files within internet options but, didn't delete cookies. Has anyone ever had this problem? I must say that audible sends me e-mails and using the links within the e-mail to obtain access to the site and my accounts is no problem. So, if I type the address of the site into internet explorer, no luck, but hitting enter with a link in an e-mail , no problem.... I can't figure it out. I am sure that I am not the only one that has ever had this problem. Andy.
