It's doubtful. JAWS doesn't have access to any files on your system that aren't related to the program itself. It doesn't manipulate files. Files manipulate the program. It's entirely likely that, when your work PC crashes, it attempts to back up the files first and is, possibly, unsuccessful. The fact that they are able to be restored suggests this is probably the most likely solution. Unless a program itself is trying to use the same resources as JAWS, for instance another screen reader, JAWS shouldn't conflict.
