Hi, ok here was a place where we were talking about video cards and
there relation to jaws.
As for my consern about desktop and laptop matters very much jaws
related.
If you ware out your lap top and crash your drive and can not get your
key back and do not have a desktop to fall back on how are you going to
use jaws?
Also was he not talking about using jaws with his new computer he buys?

Hi,
Get a g force or a ait card.
They all work and they are the cards that get the best reviews.

Heidi,

The one suggestion that I can give that there can be conflicts with
some
video cards. My tech advisor warned me about that when I purchased my
new
system. I don't know which ones to stay away from maybe someone else
here
or tech support at F.S. can help you there.
May you also be,

I have a quick note about dell support. It might be worth your while to

learn
where things are on the computer screen from a sighted perspective. The
few times I had to call in, they understood nothing of keyboard commands
or what
we
think of as the proper names for things. Be prepared for a lot of
explaining.
Get something from a vender that will allow you to return it with a
moneyback
guarantee. There's no rhyme or reason as to why jaws works well on some

systems
and not on others. Laptops are harder to upgrade because of their
proprioitary
technology from vender to vender. I.E. you can't just go and buy any
video
card
for a notebook if jaws has a problem with what you have.

If you can show me, in your response to the thread in question, just
where it relates to JFW, then I'll be happy to hear your point. But
neither your response, nor the one before that, has any direct
relation to JFW whatsoever. In fact, you appear more concerned with
whether or not a laptop would be better in a given situation.
Therefore, I say again, not by any stretch of the imagination.
