Claus, Actually in any list, such as a folder list or a list of messages, if there is only one entry the arrow keys have never read the item. It is read when first brought into focus, but then needs the Insert +8 key to read it. If you perform a search in settings center, and you only get 1 result, you use up or down arrow to have it spoken again jaws is silent not reading the highlighted item. The read line command will work, but usually the other way of reading will work in list boxes. An example in most configuration files is to type htm in the search field, this should return 1 result. Another thing if the search result is a category you are not noticed, you have to press return and you are placed on the category name and can open it. If you search for a text that has several search results and the results are in different categories you will have all the results in the list of search results. I find this stange, rather a bug than a feature. Example of a search with many results in several categories type the letter a.
