Your settings for OE are probably set to empty the wastebasket on exit, so your 
deleted items are cleared each time. You need to uncheck this.

As to the lack of a copy, go to the web site where you signed up for this list 
and see if you checked the item to receive a copy of sent messages.

  Dear all,

  Please note that I am currently not receiving all of my e-mails, and though I 
have been deleting some messages, my "deleted items" folder shows 0 messages. I 
have refreshed the outlook express several times. I am on quite a few e-mail 
lists. Is there a remedy for this issue?
