Hi all, Someone assured me on another list that the Braille display I'll be using, the BrailleNote, will come up as soon as JAWS loads, i.e. I'll feel the Braille as soon as JAWS loads. However, I do recall that this is not the case with all displays, for example the Alva Satellite series of displays. I remember looking at a friend's laptop who had this display and she was using it with JAWS 7.0. If JAWS was loaded from the startup group, then all is well, both speech and Braille comes up. However, if JAWS was set to start automatically as a service, a JAWS Video Intercept message came up and it refused to load. So I had to turn that off and resort back to the startup group method, and all was well again. Could anyone tell me please why this may have been the case? Is it because Alva uses proprietary drivers or something that JAWS can't load unless it started after Windows started? Hope you understand my queries, and thanks in advance for the help.
