Hi,

The two best I have found so far are:
1. Free Agent and/ or Agent, version 1.9. Be sure you don't get version 2.0
as they've completely hosed accessibility in the latest release.
You can download Agent, even the older version 1.9 at their homepage,
http://www.forteinc.com. Agent 1.9 is a good over all News Reader. It does
have it's qwerks in terms of accessibility, but you can learn to understand
and live with them quite easily. I've personally had better luck with Agent
after deleting the scripts that freedom includes with Jaws.

The best over all binary downloader I've found in terms of accessibility is
power Grab 2002. It is freeware and can be downloaded from
http://www.cosmicwolf.com/power_grab_2002_info.htm
Power Grab is almost completely accessible out of the box; However, there
are some graphical tool bar buttons, such as the "start downloads" button
that you need to label in order to gain usage of all its functionality. One
of the really nice things about Power Grab is that it automatically filters
news groups so all you see are completed binaries. The binaries are shown
in a list view, and if you create a jcf file for power grab, and set Rely on
MSAA for Listviews,, it reads extremely well.

Hope this helps.

program. Through Comcast I have access to a 1 GB GigaNews account and I want
to give it a try. Any ideas would be appreciated.
