Thanks Laura, but we realised that. It was just that I have made the mistake of 
installing avast v5 which is on the avast website and now it seems inaccessible 
compared to v4.

Hello,
     I've had avast for a few years.  And it appears in your system tray as 
avast and checking for updates happens everyday.  It will also notify you when 
it has updated by saying.  Virus Data has been updated.

  Hi, has anybody upgraded to Avast v5 and managed to get to use it 
successfully with JAWS 11? I can't even seem to put my registration details in 
or anything. Even seems impossible using the jaws cursor.
