If I understand the problem correctly, the solution I prefer is to open
the Configuration Manager, go to Textg Processing and be sure Detect
Languages is unchecked. Then the problem should never occur in the
first place.

The solution is to copy and paste the text in an MS Word document and
select the text and press alt T for Tools, l twice for language and
select with arrow keys the option of your choice. That is how I do it
when i encounter that problem.

Subject: Automatic language detection

Hi all

Could some kind soul please tell me how to disable automatic language
detection (not on the fly, for keeps). For some mysterious reason Jaws
insists on vocalizing an Australian website in German.

Many thanks,

Ron.
