Hi, Blake.

Sorry for my interferance, but could you tell me, how to remove the authorization, and to install it back after formatting my hard drive more precisely?

Thanks in advance.

Good bye.

No. Somehow, there's a flag in the file or something else that can tell if you tamper with the jfw.cps file and folder. you must remove the authorization token before you format the hard drive, or the authorization token will be lost. I tried this before with my own copy of JAWS with the quella authorization disk.

hi Blake,

I wandering, can we just copy the jfw.cps file with normal windows copy command? will it work perfectly?.
normally, jfw.cps is located in another folder is call jfw.cps, so, do we need to copy the jfw.cps folder also?.

If the authorization is ILM, copy fsshell32.dll and jaws.cps from the program files\jaws\activator directory. After installing jaws and when jaws starts up and asks for activation, stop jaws and use narrator to delete these files and copy the fsshell32.dll and jaws.cps files to the program files\jaws\activator directory.

Hi Andrew,
That depends on which type of authorization you are referring to.
If it is the 3.5 floppy disk authorization,
then you insert the floppy, and choose the hjauth.exe,
and choose remove authorization from the available options.
This will retreive the token from the hard drive.
If the authorization is the ILM, then there is nothing to do, but
re-authorize from the internet,
after re-installing Jaws.

Ricque

I've just been thinking:

How do I recover an authorization and put it in the disk ready to install it
again if I ever have to format the hard drive?

Does anybody have those instructions?

Thank you ever so much folks!

Andrew.
