If it does what it says, I can see some occasions when it'd be helpful. It
also has imbedded musical notes which convey information on whether the page
is mainly textual or imagery, and whether it has a higher percentage of html
errors.
The advantage is you can tell prior to browsing to that page. Just another
tool, you don't have to use it if you wouldn't get any use from it.
