When you choose to save the attachment. The first thing it should show you is where it will be saved. It should say something like save in... if you tab again, it should give you the option to brows for a place to put the attachment. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eileen Lafond" <Eileen.LaFond@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2005 12:55 PM Subject: RE: Attachments in Outlook with JAWS If I saved it, does it give me an edit box for me to choose where to save it? Or does it just put it somewhere? If it just puts it somewhere how do I find it? Sorry about these questions. I am at work and will be testing Outlook tonight at home and want to have as much knowledge as possible. Why not go to "save attachment" on the Outlook window and = save the attachment? Then you can open it that way.=20 I've never gotten the keystroke you mentioned to work either. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2005 12:22 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Attachments in Outlook with JAWS I cannot seem to read the attachments in Outlook. In the JAWS key command information it says to use insert A to open an attachment box.=20 Then it says to use insert, shift A to open a single attachmentt. When I do this, a box opens with the attachment in it. I then do the insert, shift, A and JAWS reads out the word attachment. =20 I can find the attachment with the JAWS cursor, but cannot get it to open that way either. =20 I asked a sighted person to try to click on it and it opened up NotePad with nothing in it. this happened on several different attachments and the attachments are there. I looked in the tools, options, security screen and it had no area to check that is blocking attachments for any reason. What am I doing rong? =20 Eileen La Fond Phone (206) 386-0011 e.mail Eileen.LaFond@xxxxxxxxxxx -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to = jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
