Pardon me, butI thought all kinds of people were on this list with varying
levels of knowledge.
Today, I learned 1 new keystroke and was reminded of whatI already knew
duringthis thread.
What is being missed here is that let's say 40% of a given group of users
experience a problem and fill out the forms etc. But they do not know if
their experience is typical of their situation "only" or more genneral.
Last summer a persistent MAGIC usage problem with JAWS was solved because
people compared notes here and elsewhere and the combined knowledge led to
a fix. Until then, people werespending hours and hours wasting time
uninstalling and doing repairs, writing tech support without solutions and
we would had gotten nowhere without
the power of numbers of folks speaking up
as the fault was finally located and fixed in the software.
I can think of 9 fixes that I remember over the years that required some
form of sharing to refine extent and completeness of said issue.
F S seriously wants to make the software the best possible and this post
should not offend any one as
no software is perfect and we can help each other.

I guess it is time once again to bring my opinions again. Hope the
following post does not offend anyone:
* This list is all about discussing JAWS for Windows. It is quite usual
to see messages that does not fit the category and list rules. But seeing
forty plus messages, with over 40% of them being pointless is something
that we, as list members, needs to think about. Just writing to the list
with pointless message body won't do any good, and I view this as a pure
waste of time.
* If you have any complaints regarding JAWS, you might consider contacting
Freedom Scientific Technical Support or contact Eric Damery. He will
answer your queries and take your suggestions and complaints for
considerations. Although feedback is fine, I believe too much complaints
won't do any good.
* If this kind of off-topic, pointless messages float around on this list
(and other lists), then the last resort would be unsubscription of several
members who are knowledgeable on JAWS for Windows. This list is here to
help other people with JAWS, folks. Some people on this list are
subscribed to other high traffic lists and have no time to read all email
messages that does not add to their experiences and does not benefit them
at all.
These are just my opinions regarding this subject. (can we go back to
normal?)
