Hi all. The friend asked about, has found the key, it's a button held down to the left of the windows key, and then hitting num lock twice quickly to act as scroll lock. If she uses the msn alert command tat is control f 12 plus scroll lock the laptop goes into hibernation or stand if the hibernation is turned off. So the question is is this normal, or has something that she can fix to read the msn alert? She only does this, because if she's reading msn won't say who signs in just plays the sound. I hope this has made some sense and if not, well I'm sorry but that's all I can explain this as. The scroll lock combo with f ten and f eleven will read Yahoo and Aim alerts respectively. If this is better suited off list, feel free to ask. this is a jaws eight problem.

Thanks,
Siobhan
