the below is a good, practical suggestion. But I feel I ought to repeat that Freedom Scientific has been made very much aware of this issue, and their spokesman, Eric Damery, has announced on the Jaws Lite mailing list that the development staff at FS is already working on it. Now, some may not trust Eric to be telling the truth, or the FS programmers to actually be at work on it, in which case, I don't know what to say. but that's what they themselves have said to us, their customers, publicly. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Campbell" <jazzlion1@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, November 27, 2005 11:12 AM Subject: RE: Another Site with A similar Problem to Amazon Bruce and others: Speaking as a developer for the Government I suggest you document this and send it to Freedom Scientific. I stress Document this because A phone call leaves no paper trail. There is a link for tech support on Freedom's site. Go to http://tv.yahoo.ca Then use your JAWS find to look for "personalized listings". Hit enter on this link. What you're *supposed* to get is a "choose your location" page. Like the Amazon page, you don't. Like the Amazon page, this works fine in Window-Eyes, but does not work for JAWS. I cannot say whether it works with Firefox, as I do not have it. Whatever has been done to the HTML, this will become more common, not less. One screen reader can handle it, it's important that the other can as well.
