Adobe reader

Hi folks
recently after reading a PDF file a message came up indicating that adobe
did not have time to finish installing all its components for the update
manager. I seem to remember one time updating Adobe and losing my speech.
it took a sighted person to get it back after a call for tech support.
Could I be thinking of another program or has anyone had this problem with
Adobe?
