Adobe Flash Player Problem

I just had occasion to use the Adobe flash uninstaller that G.W. Cox alerted us to on this list. For an explanation, see his message, copied below. The reason for this update is the following alert on the Adobe flash uninstaller page:


Note: If you have a Windows Flash Player uninstaller downloaded prior to April 4, 2008 on your desktop, then please delete it and download the latest version.

After too much of a hassle, I found out that the latest version of flash player does not install over a previous version. You need to uninstall the previous with a little utility at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

Handy tip: Keep the flash player uninstaller around in case something unplugs the plug-in.
