Hi Dave. when you start ad-aware, you hear something like x. You wait about ten seconds and you will hear that something is loaded. Then you have to use your jaws cursor and put the jaws cursor on the word "check" for up dates now. Then click the left mouse button and then tab two times. You will hear "configure then connect. You want to hit the space bar on connect. that will give you the updates. web site www.rellek.com/stevegomes phone 720-747-4990 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Mitchell" <mitch44@xxxxxxxxx> To: "jfw list" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2005 6:10 AM Subject: Ad Aware Tutorial? > Hi, I have been trying to follow the Ad Aware thread. > I have version 6.0 and have had success scanning using the instructions > that > are posted at the helpful hints section of the JFW Light home page. > I also tried to download , install and compile the latest scripts. > However, I cannot find the web link for updates and poking around I saw a > message from Ad Watch giving me prompts to block or accept some attempted > access but I could not activate either choice and frankly did not even > understand which was the proper choice anyhow. > I see the JAWS popular applications list does not seem to have Ad Aware as > a > topic. > Any help listing some detailed instructions on dealing with this beast > would > certainly help me and perhaps others as well. > Sorry if I missed it if this was already covered.
