There used to be a programme called PGP that was awesome. The encryption was so good that the National Security Agency in the United States complained stridently about it. There was a special hidden option for a 2048 bit key if you wanted one. Looking into it now, I see the programme is still around, though it seems to have become more commercial. You used to be able to run it from the command line, so it was eminently accessible. Look into that? ----- Original Message ----- From: The Elf To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2011 11:36 PM Subject: Re: Accessible File Encription Tools the best way to safeguard/fortify files is a thumb drive... if it ain't plugged in, they can't be gotten to, and only you know when you plug the little niggler in so... next would be a 2.5 inch exterior drive, same facts more room for the main part. and sd cards can work in the same fashion and are extremely easy to carry. elf Moderator, Blind Access Help Owner: Alacorn Computer Enterprises Specialists in customized computers and peripherals - own the might and majesty of a Alacorn! www.alacorncomputer.com proprietor, The Grab Bag, for blind computer users and programmers http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Samara Raine To: JFW Mailing List Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2011 1:25 AM Subject: Accessible File Encription Tools I found thess encription tools on a site.
