download the k-lite codec pack at
http://www.free-codecs.com
you can do insert f7 and hit k twice to get to k-lite link,
then click download and then pick the version.... the latest standard version
will be fine..
once you install it, it will fix any broken codecs you have and will allow you
to watch most movies you can download on the net..
