Hi Chrissy,

Just speaking for myself, what you're describing isn't the sort of confusion
I was admitting to having suffered recently when I accidentally associated
the Jaws issue of AVG v. 8 with something to do with Avast! or AdAware or
whatever I said that was backward. I understand what every program under
discussion lately does. I honestly just confused one thing with another, the
way you might call a friend Bill when his name is actually Bob, but your
mind made you say the wrong name once. That's all that happened to me. I'm
not sure everyone is confused as much as you worry. I think most of us know
that AVG 8 is the update of AVG 7, that Avast! is another antivirus program
entirely, and that AdAware is an antispyware program that is having its own
problems for some users lately, but that's a different topic.

Thanks.

Hi folks,
please read the names carefully, I think right now the names of the
softwares like avira, avast, avg and so forth are being totally jumbled here
with what does what.
as sugested earlier, you all need to go to the respective websites to read
up on what is free and what does what.

I can use AVG 8 with out problem. Before you enter the interface, unload
jaws and open the interface. After successful open it, load jaws. Small
matter.

Does it really matter is the AVG free edition is JAWS unfriendly being
that
everything is done automatically for you?
