You can start Avast from either the system tray or programs menu. In the
former, type S, wait for the memory scan to run its course, tab to the area
where you can hit the space bar to check areas to scan such as C, tab to start
scan and hit that button.

Hello all,
I have installed the Avast program but cannot get it to scan. I get the
directions on "what to do" but cannot get to the menus to choose what to scan
and so on.
I get to the menus for choosing settings but no farther.
Where might I be going wrong?
Is there a directions file for Jaws?
