Its a software voice package with quite natural sounding speech, at least for a computer voice anyway. You can find out more and listen to samples of the AT&T voices along with other makes such as Realspeak too at www.nextup.com.

Thanks for the reply. I've managed to do it, although arrowing through the list took me to something that crashed Jaws and lost speech so even Narrator wouldn't load up. To get round it I used the home key as I noticed when in the Windows control pannel that the ATT voices were at the top of the list and that did it.

Subject: AT&T with JFW
Hi, I've been trying to get my AT&T voices working with JFW 7.0, Mike and Crystal. I've changed the settings in control pannel so that AT&T Mike is selected and the text was read correctly by the voice so I know it works. I then tried selecting SAPI5 voices in Jaws and the standard voice came on. I then tried SAPI4 but Jaws crashed and using Narrator I found I had a Visual C++ runtime error. Any tips for getting these voices working with Jaws? It might be something simple as I've always stuck to Elequence as its my prefered screen reading voice.
