Hi, 1. To change keyboard echo, from the application, press JAWS Key+2. To make it a global one, go to JAWS window (JAWS Key+J), then go to Utilities/Configuration Manager. You should land at the config manager for that particular program or a default file. Then go to Set Options/User Options. From there go to Typing Echo and change it to characters. Press ENTER, then to save changes, press CTRL+S. 2. To change speech rate from all applications, go to JAWS window (JAWS key+J), then go to Options/Voice/Voice Adjustments. You should see a profile list of speech settings. Then go to Rate spin box and use UP ARROW to increase speech rate. At some point you'll be asked to save changes. If this happens, go to Save As button, then choose Eloquence as the profile name. I am setting up Jaws 11 on a new work computer, and have a few issues that I've never encountered before. I know these are very basic, so please excuse my brain lapses here (grin): 1. I have noticed that, in Microsoft Word, and all other applications, Jaws does not speak the keys when I type something. I like to have this feature, so I can double-check myself as I prepare a document, spreadsheet, or e-mail message. How do I turn the key speak function on? 2. I have made uniform reading speed adjustments to the PC cursor voice, Jaws cursor voice, the keyboard voice, the menu and dialog voice, and the message and tutorial voice, but still, when I alt-tab to an application, the application message reads very slowly. What changes do I make to cause the application announcement to read at the same speed as all the other voices? Thanks for any help that can be provided here.
