Your problems are much like what I was having with Word2000 and the only way I found to solve it was to replace 2000 with 2003.

Hi Shannon

Although I bought myself a new laptop which I shall get this week, up to now
I was using the latest version of Jaws and MS 2000.

I also began to experience funny problems with Word that I never had in the
past before Jaws 9. The problems are not exactly like yours, but also have
to do with when I open a word document - I get something like "document 1
recovered"; "document 2 recovered" ... when I close one word document, I
also have to close all the others ... very weird.

It was suggested to me that the problem might be the old version of Word I
am using.

I suppose not much help, but something to consider - maybe?

Renette

I am using MS Word and jaws 9. Some how a setting has gotten changed. Every
time I open a word document and read it or even just open the document and
close it, word asks me if I want to save the changes. It isn't really a
big
deal just annoying. I can't find where I can change the setting.
Also when I make a new document and then save it I can't fill in what I
want
to call the document it fills in the name of any one of my other files
after
I type in 1 character, it never did that before either. Any help is
appreciated.

Shannon
