Dear Coordinators,

We wish to remind you that our opening coordinators' meeting will be held on
*September 17th, 2014* כ"ב אלול תשע"ד at 16:30 at *Tali Beit Hinuch School*
(13, Kaf Tet Be-November Street, Jerusalem).

A special meeting for new coordinators will begin at 15:45.

The session will include updates by Pat and Simone followed by a
presentation by *J**udy Labensohn**, MFA, MA.

Best wishes,
Pat and the Madrichot

**In this one-hour session Judy Labensohn, writer, mentor and creative
writing teacher, will share with us some cardinal principles for teaching
meaningful writing. These principles will help teachers at the junior high
and high school level enable their students to write with motivation,
passion and ease. Teachers will learn how to use inspirational triggers
from a broad range of American writers, among them Patricia Hampl, Ann
Lindberg, John Updike, Mark Twain, et al. When the classroom becomes a
supportive writing environment, it can also become the arena for sharing
vocabulary essential for meaningful self-expression.*

*Labensohn, raised in Cleveland, OH, has published essays and stories in
prestigious American journals, such as Kenyon Review and Creative
Nonfiction and was a 2014 Nominee for The Pushcart Prize in creative
nonfiction. She holds a BA with High Honors from the University of Michigan
in American Culture, an MA in English from Bar-Ilan University and an MFA
in creative nonfiction from Goucher College in Maryland. *
