This did seem to be the case. I copied the functions from another .jss file, so
the .jsd didn't match. Copying the original .jsd file as well and compiling
seems to have fixed the issue.

If the functions are not defined in the .jsd file then they need to be defined
before they are called.
Your working script set likely has a .jsd file.

Hi all
I'm a bit rusty at jaws scripting, its been a while. I'm having an issue that
seems to be related to the order in which functions are listed in the .jss
file. Some errors seem to go away if one function is placed above another in
the source. E.g if the first function listed, references the name of another
function listed further down in the source file, it throws an error.
If I move that function above the first one, the error goes away.
The strange thing is that I've copied these functions from another script set
and they are in exactly the same order but compile normally in that script set.
Anyone got any suggestions on what might be happening here?
