HI Jody If the script file you are referring to is one from your JAWS user folder, try going to the JAWS options menu and selecting Manage Application Settings on your VISTA machine. Make sure that the application you are using has its check box checked. I frequently find that unknown powers have disabled certain of my user script files with no notification I have ever seen. -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Alex Stone Sent: Saturday, March 20, 2010 8:33 PM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Scripts conflict between operating systems? Jody, Is your Vista machine by any chance 64-bit? If it is, the directory structure for where scripts go and stuff is different, and some scripts won't work. I have Windows XP on mmy desktop and Windows Vista on my laptop. Script files work fine on XP. Same exact scripts on vista, and correct JSS file is loaded, but for some reason none of the script assigned keystrokes work. For example, insert H is supposed to bring up a list of keystrokes specific, but instead brings up the default keystrokes for Windows. Any thoughts here?
