You may try EdSharp, and if you don't like it, you can try Jart. Ed Sharp is a more powerful version of Notepad, and Jart is Word Pad on steroids. And I thought I'd found it in Florian Balmer's excellent (and freeware!) Notepad2: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html Just one slight problem... I can't get JAWS to read out selected text. Apparently, the culprit is Scintilla: a source code editing component. Rumour has it that there's a way round this restriction by way of a JAWS script. Problem is, I know nothing of JAWS scripting. Which brings me here... Can anyone on this forum help me out? Any help or useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, John O'Regan. __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5125 (20100518) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5125 (20100518) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/jawsscripts
