Actually Geoff, there was hardly any structured documentation at the time = other than the help file which came with the scripting section of the general help files withi= n jaws. Ken's manual came about after people in the jfw list complained about the = scant documentation regarding such an usefull and powerfull tool. Compared to the original help file as it was, Ken's almost class room like= documentation was the best tool back then. It certainly helped yours truly get to where I am when needed. I must confess that freedom scientific has updated somewhat their document= ation. But for what ever its worth, we are again lagging behind in many aspects o= f the scripting language mainly the more advansed tools such as object manipulation. For the simple minded folks like myself, Ken Gould's approach in writing w= as superior, and I would not mind another tome addressing the latest developments where fs le= aves off. D C Your unadulterated message follows: Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Everything you wanted... manual Date: 1 Jul 2008 I reckon I would agree with this logic. and I'm only bringing 20 cents worth of scripting experience to the table = on it! <grin.> maybe rreading them back to back, oooooh sounds like fun, in reverse order might be the go! from my brief glancings through it, it appeared the ken gould manual writt= en at 3.7 days, was incredibly well structured and a lot more technically detailed. but Jackie makes some very valid points here. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie McBride" <abletec@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2008 11:23 AM Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Everything you wanted... manual > I'm going to say 1 last thing about this particular manual, & then I'll shut up. > > I 1st wanna say I thought it was a wonderful tool--for its time.
